It’s time for another look at one of the artists performing at the Danny Wimmer Presents festivals in May. This time I would like to introduce everyone to one of my personal picks to see at the festivals Jinjer!

Jinjer hails from Donetsk in the Ukraine and has been around since 2009. But, the band truly considers themselves to have started in 2010 when vocalist Tatiana Shmayluk joined. Defined as a four-piece progressive groove metal wrecking machine, this band over 10 years has laid down the foundation in the metal world that will skyrocket them into great success. With screaming vocals to thunderous drums and flesh-melting guitar and bass sounds, Jinjer is a name to be remembered at the upcoming festivals.

Their very first album with Tatiana was an EP titled Inhale, Do Not Breathe released in 2012. The EP gained so much traction it was re-released in 2013 as a full-length studio album. That same year the band was nominated and won the Best Ukrainian Metal Act Award. Their second album Cloud Factory was originally self-released and then re-released when the band was signed to their current label Napalm Records. Their third album King of Everything from 2016 truly pushed their popularity with their singles “Pisces” and “I Speak Astronomy”. By January 2019, Jinjer decided to release another EP titled Micro for their fans to continue to get a taste of new music. And then dropped their amazing fourth studio album Macro in October 2019.

Jinjer is well known for their amazing live performances. They love to tour and hit the road hard for long periods of time. The band even released a full-length video of their performance at the Gramercy Theater in New York City from October 2, 2019. Revolver captured their video footage that night, which you can see below.

Jinjer is Tatiana Shmayluk (vocals), Roman Ibramkhalilov (guitar), Eugene Abdukhanov (bass), and Vlad Ulasevich (drums).
