In just 11 days, North America will be taken by storm by the legendary Iron Maiden returning with the Legacy of the Beast Tour. The tour starts in Sunrise, FL at the BB&T Center on July 18th and will cover 33 cities between the United States and Canada. The Raven Age will be supporting Iron Maiden for this tour.
This tour is themed after The Legacy of the Beast mobile game. Vocalist Bruce Dickinson stated, “The production is based on our mobile game The Legacy of the Beast which basically takes various incarnations of Eddie into many different Maiden Worlds. This inspired us to put together a stage show to take our fans through different Worlds and experiences set to appropriate songs. It is not that easy designing different Worlds on stage and we put a huge amount of work into this to make it work and the end result we feel is our most spectacular and certainly the most complex show to date. We’ve got all kinds of crazy things going on, including a replica Spitfire plane dominating the stage during ‘Aces High,’ tons of pyro, a giant Icarus, muskets, claymores and some truly marvellous flame-throwers which I have a hell of a lot of fun with, as you will see!” The band had wrapped up earlier this year a European tour to over 750,000+ fans with rave reviews from the media.
Iron Maiden last invaded Florida back on June 11, 2017 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, FL supporting their sixteenth studio album The Book of Souls with Ghost in support. The Amalie Arena was a packed house to see Iron Maiden who did nothing less than put on a spectacular show. From the giant temple on stage to Bruce Dickinson battling Eddie and ripping our his heart and throwing it into the crowd, Iron Maiden blew away the fans with their performance. They played a total of 15 songs that night including “Children of the Damned”, “The Red and the Black”, “The Trooper”, “Powerslave”, “Iron Maiden”, and one of my personal favorites “The Number of the Beast”.
Iron Maiden is Bruce Dickinson (vocals), Steve Harris (bass), Dave Murray (guitar), Adrian Smith (guitar), Nicko McBrain (drums), and Janick Gers (guitar).
