FROM THE PIT TO THE CROWD: FIT FOR A KING WITH NORTHLANE, ALPHAWOLF, AND KINGDOM OF GIANTS – THE PALLADIUM – WORCESTER MA – MARCH 10, 2023

Fit For A King

Fit For A King passed through Worcester, MA on their Winter tour, The Hell We Create. They were joined by Kingdom of Giants, Alpha Wolf, and Northlane. These Metalcore bands bought with them heavy beats and high octane vocals to The Palladium. It was my first time seeing these openers but they absolutely hyped up the crowd and could easily carry a show on their own. My favorite part was when Alpha Wolf was having a go with security and flooded them with crowd surfers. Lochie the lead singer kept yelling “More bodies” and more bodies flooded the pit. These three bands were a perfect fit for this tour.

If you have yet to make it to a Fit for a King show I only have 5 words for you…WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? You are missing out on a truly amazing show from the vocals, the guitar rifts,  and the theatrics of the bassist. Ryan is one of my favorite bassists and while I know he comes in hard and does his awesome spins and toss with his bass I am still amazed each time. Fit For a King are a band out of Dallas, TX and I reluctantly admit that as a Dallas native my first time actually seeing them was a few years ago when they played the Palladium with Ice Nine Kills. I was an instant fan! I have since forgiven myself for missing out on them and you should too and do so by making it to a show.

Their music while encompassing metalcore scream vocals also has some beautiful ballads but more than that they have songs that speak to your heart. As any true rocker knows it’s those songs you keep coming back to as your lifeboat. You could feel the emotion from the crowd as they sang along with the band and the knowing emotion of fighting an internal battle against depression. It’s moments like these standing in a crowd singing along to a song that resonates so deeply and realizing you are not alone that give you comfort among strangers.  Something I get asked often is… Is this a religious band? Perhaps. I think alot of their music has a story and definitely resonates with someone on a journey seeking purpose. I will say they are NOT a Religious band pretending to be metal but that they are a Metalcore band with a deeper message.
