Friday’s lineup provides us with System of a Down as the main headliner. The band recently appeared at Danny Wimmer Presents Aftershock festival and is ready to bring their unique and undeniably popular music to the fans. Swedish rock band Ghost is coming off a successful U.S. tour for their latest album Prequelle. The band’s amazing live performances showcase their great music and I’m certainly looking forward to seeing them again. Halestorm performed last year at Welcome To Rockville and Carolina Rebellion and will be performing at Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival. The band toured last year promoting their latest album Vicious that was released on July 27, 2018. They are continuing to tour this year with the festival as one of the tour stops. Swedish metal Messugah will get the mosh pits going hard on Friday. Tom Morello guitarist for Rage Against The Machine and Prophets of Rage, singer and songwriter will be performing. He recently released an album titled The Atlas Underground on October 12, 2018. Australian metalcore band Parkway Drive will fire up the fans with their live performance. Recently appearing at Welcome To Rockville and Carolina Rebellion last year they also toured to support their album Reverance. The album was released on May 4, 2018, the same day they performed at Carolina Rebellion. This day is filled with must-see bands. Avatar and Bad Wolves are high on the list for their hard-hitting music and phenomenal performances.

Disturbed‘s only appearance at the Spring Danny Wimmer Presents festivals will be this one. On the heels of releasing Evolution on October 18, 2018, which debuted at #4 on the Biillboard 200, the band is ready to get back to rocking the festival crowds and will surely close out the night in headbanging fashion. Papa Roach was announced as the replacement for The Prodigy due to the unfortunate passing of The Prodigy lead singer Keith Flint. The band has been actively touring supporting Who Do You Trust? their 10th studio album that was released on January 18, 2019. Also bound to get the mosh pits going over the weekend is Lamb of God. Recently supporting Slayer on their final world tour the band released on May 18, 2018 a cover album titled Legion: XX under their original name Burn The Priest. British rockers The Cult have been rocking fans since 1983 and show no signs of slowing down. They toured over Summer 2018 with Stone Temple Pilots and Bush. Danny Wimmer Presents veterans In This Moment will blow the fans away with their incredible performances, a perfect blend of theatre and metal. The road warriors have been touring over the past two years supporting their latest album Ritual which was released on July 21, 2017. And the French metal band Gojira is back on the festival scene to melt people’s minds. Their performance at Louder Than Life 2017 was unreal and I expect no less from them. Here is yet another day filled with must-see bands. Killswitch Engage, Fever 333, and The Black Dahlia Murder are high on my list for their energetic performances and exceptional music.

And Sunday’s headliner brings us Foo Fighters. Also headlining Sunday at Epicenter and having a spectacular turn out last year at Welcome To Rockville, it seemed to only make sense to bring them back for this inaugural festival. They had a number of sold out shows all last year in support of their 9th studio album Concrete and Gold. With the 6th studio album, Amo released on January 25, 2019, Bring Me The Horizon has already been out touring to support it and makes a tour stop at the festival. Joan Jett & The Blackhearts is still going strong after touring with Styx and Tesla in Summer 2018 and now touring with Heart this Summer. And it’s awesome to see them performing here. Rockers Chevelle is an awesome addition. Their plethora of well-known singles and hard rock will have the fans energized and moving. Their latest album 12 Bloody Spies released on October 26, 2018 was a collection of B-sides, rarities, covers, and remixes. The Swedish rock band The Hives come to connect with the fans. Known for their engaging live performances the crowd will be in for a real treat. Punk rockers The Distillers are back and working on a 4th studio album since their last one in 2003. Maybe the fans will get a treat to some new music played live. And once again, another day filled with must-see bands, this festival has outdone itself. High on my list are Scars on Broadway, The Struts, Palaye Royale, Amigo the Devil, and Black Coffee.

The Comedians and Spoken Word Artists
This inaugural event will also provide entertainment at the SiriusXM Comedy & Spoken Word Tent. An alternative from the musical artists, these artists excel in making people laugh and/or provide some wonderful deep introspective thoughts. Standup actor and comedian Andrew Dice Clay, spoken word artist and former Rollins Band and Black Flag member Henry Rollins, and comedian, actor, and former MTV host Pauly Shore will be performing over the weekend. The lineup also includes the lineup includes special appearances from guitarist and activist Tom Morello, Pussy Riot member Nadya, and Eleanor Kerrigan.
