The David Lynch Foundation has launched their inaugural #VOICESOFCHANGE social media campaign, asking for their followers to each donate a dollar in order to raise $250,000 – the funds needed to bring their Quiet Time program to 2,500 more underserved children in 2019.

Aiding in cognitive development, Quiet Time brings evidence-based Transcendental Meditation to schools throughout the country to dramatically improve academic performance and student wellness. VOICES OF CHANGE culminates in a raffle on November 27 (“Giving Tuesday”), which awards those who donate $5.00 or more with the chance to win personalized celebrity voicemail recordings from Hugh Jackman, David Lynch, and Kyle MacLachlanPRESS HERE to donate.

“The Quiet Time Program is the most powerful, effective program I’ve come across in my 40 years as a public school educator,” says James S. Dierke, Executive Vice President, American Federation of School Administrators. “It is nourishing these children and providing them an immensely valuable tool for life. It is saving lives.”

With 25% of teenagers suffering from anxiety disorders and 6.5 million children struggling with disabilities that impair their ability to learn, the schoolwide Quiet Time program provides students with two 15-minute periods of Transcendental Meditation each day to help balance their lives and improve their readiness to learn. Quiet Time complements existing educational strategies to improve creativity, happiness, focus, and self-confidence, resulting in a 10% improvement in test scores, increased teacher retention, decreased psychological distress (40%), and reduced suspensions (86% over two years).
