METAL/HARD ROCK TRIO, GUS MCARTHUR, DROP NEW EP

(New York, NY) Metal/hard rock trio, Gus McArthur, release their new EP, Chapter 2: Fanatics, on 12/8/17 and the second installment in a larger “book” of EP’s.  Not the typical band, the group are more of a science fiction-meets-metal tale as Gus McArthur is not the band themselves, but a transdimensional being who transmits the music, style and imagery to the members of the band. The trio tell stories with each of their songs, delivering the messages of Gus McArthur through their  EP’s/ chapters. Already featured on  Gear Gods, New Noise Magazine, The Age of Metal, and more, Decibel Magazine describes them as Freddie-Mercury-meets-Faith-No-More-meets-renaissance-fair-meets-’80s-thrash-meets-lyrics-of-underground-hip-hop.”

Gus McArthur was formed by brothers Gordon “Gus the Hater” (lead vocals) and  Sean (guitar/vocals) Honan in 2014; each from a different musical background,  the two decided to combine their unique styles into a blend of their genres and influences, which range from Metallica, Rage against the Machine, Queen,  Muse to System of a Down. In late 2015, the band was solidified upon meeting their drummer Johnson “the Z”  Zhang, taking their music to a new level. Together they recorded and released Chapter 1: Hysterics, in 2016, kicking off the legend of Gus McArthur.  The San Diego, CA-based group have an ever-evolving sound that develops daily, combining their rock and metal inspirations with lyrical hip hop.

Stay tuned as more chapters unfold and Gus McArthur drop more material leading up the the release of Fanatics. Catch them live on October 21 at the Garden Grove Amphitheater and get a taste of their “audacious, fast, hard hitting, and lyrical”  (Bravewords) vibe.
