December 7, 2018 (Los Angeles, CA) – British standout artist RATIONALE has shared his new EP High Hopes today via Warner Bros. Records. Building on the singer’s genre-bending debut album, the EP features the infectiously danceable new single “High Hopes,” as well as the previously released Caribbean-inspired dancehall track “One By One,” co-produced with friend and collaborator Bastian Langebaek (Jack Garratt, Jessie Ware). Other collaborators on the EP include Starsmith (Ellie Goulding, Clean Bandit) on the title track and George Moore (Yebba) on “Kindred.”

‘High Hopes’ is one of my proudest moments on this EP,” explains Rationale, who continues, “
On the surface it could lyrically be seen as a classic love song referencing, isolation, hope & pain.  However I didn’t write the lyrics as an address to another person but instead, my relationship with music, my career and my creative process at the time.
High Hopes Tracklist:

The release of Rationale’s self-titled debut album last year spawned a breakout moment for the Zimbabwe-born, London-based singer/producer, earning him over 34 million listens on Spotify, support from influential fans such as Pharrell Williams and Elton John, and press love from

NoiseyThe Hype, and Pigeons & Planes, who say “Rationale has been killing it left, right, and center.” Last year, he made his television debut with show-stealing performances of “Fast Lane” and “Fuel To The Fire” on Later… With Jools Holland and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Rationale has captivated sold-out crowds for a number of U.K., European and U.S. tours, and become an in-demand collaborator, penning songs for Rag’n’Bone Man, Nause, and Katy Perry.

Since the release of his debut album, as well as delving back through his musical influences to write and produce the new EP, he has also been exploring issues close to his heart through his new podcast series The Irrationale Review, tackling subjects such as women’s rights, Grenfell, depression and fitness.
